The Good News of Jesus Christ

The Gospel
Are you good enough to go to heaven?

In this blog posting, I’ll be sharing with you both bad news and good news!
Are you good enough to go to heaven?  You are probably thinking to yourself… “Yes, I’m good enough!  I haven’t killed anyone, haven’t robbed any banks, and I don’t do illegal drugs.  I’m much better than many other people.”

Now let’s look at God’s standard (God’s moral law) called the 10 commandments.  If God judges you by His standard (seen below) would you make it to heaven?

Making Peace with the Edge

Learn to deal with half-long balls...

The score was 9-9 in the final game, your opponent served a half-long serve to your backhand, you thought that the serve was long enough to loop, but it wasn’t.  With a full backswing, you looped right into the table!  Ouch!  As blood began to gush from the back of your hand, you wondered to yourself how this could have been prevented.  In this article, I’m going to give you ten tips on how to make peace with the edge of the table.

1. Move both feet properly into position

National Champion

Sarah Jalli

Three months ago, Sarah Jalli was crowned champion of the US Open in Las Vegas for the u11 girls' event! Just after turning 12, she entered the US National Ranking Tournament in Davie, Florida (March 29-April 1). Each player was allowed to enter up to 2 of the events - u12, u13, u15, or u18. Sarah chose to skip the u12 and enter the u13 and u15. First, she played the u15 and finished #10 in the US... not bad. Then she began dominating the u13 with 8 consecutive wins against girls from across the nation. If she finished 1st or 2nd, she would make the US National Team.

Serve & Return

Improve both your serve and serve return!

The #1 topic in table tennis is serve & return. This week, I decided to feature some of my videos. Regardless if you are developing a new serve or just perfecting an old favorite, I would highly recommend that you take a minute and check out these videos...

Read truths from 3 Bible Passages

Millions of Americans claim to be true Christians, but are they?  At church a few weeks ago, our pastor gave a very good sermon about the nature of saving faith.  Below are some notes from his sermon…

9 Aspects of Blocking

Blocking Summary

In table tennis, blocking is one of the most under-developed skills for offensive players.  If you learn to position his body correctly and contact the ball at the preferred timing, then it is also easier to learn other skills like counterlooping.  In this article, I'm going to briefly outline 9 aspects that you must consider when perfecting your block.  Check out this short list and see how you are doing...

The Perfect Stroke?

Take a "4-QUESTION-TEST" to see if you have perfect strokes...

During tournaments, I hear many players commenting about various strokes…
“He has good strokes!”
“His strokes are wrong!”
“How does he have a 2000-rating with strokes like that?”
“His loop is very smooth!”
“He won the tournament, but he doesn’t have the best strokes.”
“His strokes are old-school!”
“Wow, his strokes flow nicely together!”
