Psalm 51:6b Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being
Many people today tell me that they follow God by going to church or praying or being nice.  Those are great things.  However, God is primarily concerned with the heart.  The Bible says that man’s heart is deceitful and desperately wicked.  Even though we might live externally good lives (according to what society tells us), we were born with sinful hearts.
 
God was the only one who could change my inwardly wicked heart and give me a new heart to love and serve him.  I am so thankful to Him!  From a changed heart, now I have a desire to go to church, pray, read the Bible, and follow him.  I don’t do those external things to become a Christian; I do those things because I am a Christian.
 
If you are reading this today, I encourage you to pray what David prayed in Psalm 51:
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
 
Repent of your sins (both the internal and external ones) and put your hope in Jesus alone who loves you and died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins.
