Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
 
 
Many people trust themselves more than they trust God.  The Bible says that man’s heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.  If we are to really come to grips with your sin and get our hearts right before God, then we need to stop doing our own thing.  We need to admit that we have done wrong, and we need to admit that we need God’s help.  God has sent help for us.  God has sent the remedy for our sins in sending Jesus to pay for our sin.  Jesus’ death and resurrection is our hope – we need to trust in Him, not in ourselves.
