Beat the Wheelchair Player

Learn 7 Main Keys

Playing against a wheelchair player requires a specific strategy.  First, you must begin the match with a fighting spirit.  If you start the match feeling sorry for your opponent, you probably won’t give your best.  Determine in your mind prior to the start of the match that you will give your very best and not worry about the sympathy factors.

Squeaky clean and newly renovated, the Samson Dubina TT Academy will be ready to open this Monday! I would like to thank my pro shop managers Tim and Joe for doing an awesome job at the facility while we are closed! I can't wait to see it!

Root of the Problem

Are you looking for it?

Unless you can find the root of the problem – your problem with persist and you will continue losing.  I often ask players why they lost a specific match.  They often respond with…

“It was a bad match.”
“I was just off.”
“I didn’t practice enough.”
“My opponent was on fire.”

When I ask for specifics, some have no answer, while others somewhat give generalities like…

“I missed too many backhands.”

Good, Better, Best!

read the article and watch the video!

Most table tennis players have Good practice sessions on a weekly basis but it isn’t THEIR VERY BEST! Many players continue practicing the same things over and over without pushing themselves to improve their spin, placement, variation, power, and shot selection.
