Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

Luke 23

Many people that I have talked with have said, "I have lived a wicked life, God will never accept me."
They are absolutely right; God will never accept them as they are.  However, God can accept them because of Jesus.  In Luke chapter 23, we see the account of Jesus dying on the cross.  We see Jesus being crucified between two criminals.  One of the criminals was accusing Jesus.  The other criminal realized that he could not save himself, but Christ could save him from his sins.  This criminal in his last hour believed in Jesus and had eternal life.

Luke 23:39-4One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!”  But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”  And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

So which one are you?  Are you the one who is hardened against God.  Or, are you the one who humbles himself and is trusting in Jesus to save you from your sins?
