Matthew 6:19-21
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where month and rest destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
In this Bible passage, Jesus isn’t condemning a money or a savings account; he is talking about priorities. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. I have a few questions to ask you…
What is most important to you in life?
What is it that consumes most of your time?
What is it that you think on the most?
What is your greatest joy and delight?
There are some thing that only last for a moment here on earth and there are some things that last for eternity. My prayer for you today is that God would give you a heart to love and worship him. I pray that this heart of worship would begin now and that you will choose to follow him with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. I pray that He will be your treasure. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
