Bible Verse of the Week
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Bible Verse of the Week
Romans 1:16-17

In reference to the word "believes" Pastor John MacArthur gives some commentary...

Read the Bible passage of the week
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Compared to eternity, life is actually very very short. When was the last time that you stopped and counted the approximate number of days that the average person lives? When we understand that we are on the doorstep of eternity, then it really does change how we view heaven and hell, how we view the good news of Jesus Christ, and how we view life.

Consider the Life of Joseph
Faithfulness
God has called us to a life a faithfulness no matter what the situation. This morning, I was reading the story of Joseph as we see in Genesis 37-46. Joseph had many challenges – in his father’s house, in the pit, in slavery, in prison, leading Egypt. We know the end of the story, but he didn’t. He didn’t know the twists and turns ahead of him, but he was faithful to God in all the situations, and God used him in mighty ways to save a nation and bring glory to God.

Luke 7: 41-43

Tell Me. thereforeh, which of them will love him more?" Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more."

Read a Bible Story from Luke 18
Before reading this passage from the Bible, I would like to make a couple comments about the two people in this story – these two people are complete opposites.

Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods.
For Christians, we have been bought with a price – the precious price of the blood of Jesus and have new hearts that love God and desire to please God.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8
