Bible Verse of the Week

1 Corinthians

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures
The apostle Paul wrote the book of 1 Corinthians.  In this book, he was delivering the Gospel truth to them that he received from God, the truth that Christ died and rose again.  When it says "according to the Scriptures" it means the old testament Scriptures.  The Old Testament tells us about Jesus as we see in Psalm 16, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, and many other passages.  Just as God promised, Jesus came to die for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day.  As I have previously mentioned in many of my other blog postings, it was absolutely necessary that Jesus come to die for our sin.  We sinned against a perfect, holy, righteous God.  According to the Bible, this sin that each of us have is so damning that all of us our hell-bound.  Without the grace of God and the provision made through Christ, we would all be doomed.

Throughout my blog postings, I plan to post helpful table tennis articles as well as truths that I have been learning from the Bible.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
The Gospel influences every area of my life - personal, table tennis, family, hobbies.  With God's help, I want to live each moment for Him.
