Diary of the 10-Year-Old
Women’s World Cup
Philadelphia, PA October 7-9, 2016
Part 1
Why I’m going to the World Cup?
I am going to the World Cup because I think I will be inspired by watching the world class players play. I also think it will affect my game highly after I implement the things that I saw.
Who I’m looking to watch?
Of course I am going to spend time watching our own USA players, but I’m also going to spend time watching people like Ding Ning who is world #1.
What I hope to learn?
As most people know a lot of Chinese table tennis players have very good foundational strokes. When I get back home and start to practice again, I will try my hardest to copy what I saw. Sometimes when I’m playing, I am not the most concentrated person. So after watching how concentrated the players are, I will try my best to implement them when I am playing a match.
What I hope to achieve in table tennis?
As most kids say in interviews that I heard, they want to be world champion someday. I say the same thing, but my goal after I become world champion, is to be better than the former world champions. I will try to practice as much as I can and turn my weaknesses into strengths. The sky is not your limit. One thousand miles beyond the sky is your limit. Or maybe more.
